The Baron Balloon is a monster encountered in Dark Chronicle, first found in the Underground Channel. Baron Balloon resembles a blue balloon with a yellow star for a left eye and a smile with sharp yellow teeth. It wears a gray top hat and has two floating gloves for hands.

Battle Tactics[]
The Baron Balloon and its variations can leap towards the player, causing damage. It has two attacks, one where it presses its hands together, and another where it swipes the player with its hat. Both of these attacks have the same range, do the same damage, and do not pierce through defense, so it posses little threat to the player. It can be easily dispatched with Max's guns, especially if it has a high Flame or Lightning stat.

- The Baron Balloon and its variations can be seen piloting various large Windup machines, and is colored differently for each variation of Windup machines. The Baron Balloon pilots the Vanguard, the Flotsam Balloon pilots the Sonic Bomber, and the Duke Balloon pilots the Yo-Yo Barrel. Although, the Baron Balloon controls the boss variation of Yo Yo Barrel known as the Lapis Garter rather than a Duke Balloon controlling it.
