The Corsair is one of the zombie pirates that are encountered in Dark Cloud, known as the Corcea, and in Dark Chronicle.

This undead pirate, who has two small swords as weapons, will usually rush the player when he's spotted. It has two attacks but they're only melees attacks. At close-range, the Corsair will either jump at the player while slicing him, or it'll try to stab him two times in a quick succession. Be careful, the Corsair can sometimes do the first attack and then the second attack without pausing, which will mean serious damage if you're hit.
Defeating the Corsair shouldn't cause any trouble, as its attacks are easily blocked, and then countered, with a melee weapon. Monica has an especially easy time against Corsairs and their variations due to their sword weakness. However keep in mind that they are resistant against all ranged weapons except the Ridepod.
Trivia[]
- "Corsair" means a privateer or pirate. "Corcea" could be a combination of "Corsair Ceased" as they are undead, and have ceased to live. It also may have been intended to be called "Corsair" in Dark Cloud, but it might have been called "Corcea" from a translation error.
