The Face of Prajna is a monster that appears in Dark Cloud, known as Mask of Prajna, and in Dark Chronicle. It makes its debut in Shipwreck and Rainbow Butterfly Wood, respectively.

Dark Cloud[]
The Mask of Prajna carries a fan and katana, and the best way to defeat it is by throwing holy-attributed magical blasts at it with Ruby. It also spews a poison cloud and can block things with its spinning fan. It will easily block all of your projectiles unless you get close enough for it to want to swipe at you, thus lowering its guard. A stronger version of the Mask of Prajna appears in the Demon Shaft in between floors 41-60, the Thunder Zone.
Dark Cloud 2[]
In Dark Cloud 2, the Face of Prajna appears in the last few floors of the Rainbow Butterfly Wood. It can block attacks with its fan and has two attacks, both of which can be safely blocked: The first is when it spits a green cloud of poison that also can inflict thirst if the player gets hit by it. The second is where it unsheathes its katana and swings at the player.
The best way to defeat them is to approach them while guarding and get next to them. Once they swing their katanas, they're wide open for a combo attack. They always flinch and the combo finisher will knock them down, making catching them in a combo chain an effective tactic.
Alexander, a variation of the Face of Prajna, is the only variant that blasts a fire projectile rather than a green cloud of poison. However, the same tactics apply to the Alexander as does the Face of Prajna.
