Lapis Garter is a boss monster in Dark Chronicle, encountered in the Chamber of the Defending Wind Gem in the Starlight Canyon's star path. It is the boss variation of the Yo-Yo Barrel. Defeating it is necessary to obtain the Wind Gem, which is in turn needed to complete Chapter 6. It resembles a massive treasure chest with two spiked yo-yo barrels on each end, two rubber tires underneath, and a Baron Balloon at the controls inside.
Battle Tactics[]
Because it is a boss variation of the Yo-Yo Barrel, it retains its behavior and attacks. Like the Yo-Yo Barrel, it is resistant to many of the weapons used by Max and Monica, so it is best to attack it using the Ridepod. It has no means of attacking at long range, but it does move quite fast toward you, so it is best to use long-range arms such as the Nova Cannon while avoid its attacks with a fast set of legs. Alternatively, should the Ridepod crash, Max's grenades do normal damage to this monster, more so if it has a high Smash stat. Using Lightning Stones is also an option for defeating it quickly, due to its weakness to Lightning.
