The Machine Gun Arm is a ranged weapon arm for the Ridepod in Dark Chronicle. It is not available for purchase, but like all Ridepod parts, the Machine Gun Arm and its later variants can be invented. The Machine Gun Arm is available relatively early, and ranges among the weaker ranged Ridepod weapons. Instead of powerful hits, it functions like Maximilian's machineguns, offering a very high rate of fire but with a low damage output.
Because of the low damage the Machine Gun Arm is extra susceptible to enemy weaknesses, meaning that it only truly shines against those weak to its Flame and Cyclone stats. It also burns through WHP very fast, making it rather situational as there are other options against such enemies. The first part becomes available for inventing in Chapter 3, with the rest being made available in respectively chapters 4, 5 and 6. Although version IV is available early compared to the other final arm parts, it is still expensive with a cost of over 14,000 Gilda to make, though most of that comes from the required Ruby.
