The Night Stalker is a monster encountered in Dark Chronicle, appearing in the Underground Channel on Floor 3, Ghost in the Channel. It looks like a floating ghost with no visible legs, and is the first Undead monster fought in Dark Cloud 2.

Battle Tactics[]
The Night Stalker and its variations have two attacks: For a ranged attack, he will launch fireballs that will knock you down if they hit you. This attack won't go straight at you, it'll arc a little. You can block it safely, and it does not inflict high damage.
His second attack is a spinning attack: when you're close to him he'll spin towards you in order to damage you. The attack continues for a small duration so be sure to block until clear and you'll avoid any damage. It's easily blocked and countered when this attack is done.
All of Max's weapons are weakened when used on this monster which is a bit unfair, but the monster doesn't take much to defeat so you shouldn't have many issues. Use a weapon with high Flame and Exorcism stats, the Battle Wrench has a high flame stat perfect for the task. For its later variations, Monica's magic is perfect for taking them out, due to their weakness to magic and flame.

- This monster can give you the scoop, "Night Stalker". To obtain it, take out your camera and take a shot of the Night Stalker when it does its spinning attack. Be sure to attempt to get some distance between you and the monster before doing so, or wait till a later time as damage is guaranteed while taking the scoop in usual circumstances.
