The Star Breaker is a machine gun-type weapon and part of Osmond's weapons in Dark Cloud, and Maximilian's ranged weapons in Dark Chronicle.
In the latter, it is only built up from the Bell Trigger. This gun is no longer a normal gun, but it's a machine gun, or more precisely the first machine gun usable by Max. The machines guns are identical to the normal guns, except they fire much faster. They're fully automatic, which means that the machine guns will fire as long as you press the X button while holding the L1 button. Even if they can cause more attacks in shorter time than the normal guns, their damage per shot is reduced, and with the fact that the enemies aren't pushed back by the ranged weapons, it can be dangerous to fire for a long time, especially when the enemy moves fast.
You can find this machine gun on dungeons' chests, or you can also invent it, but you can't buy it in any weapon shop.
