The Steal Gun is one of Max's guns in Dark Chronicle. This weapon is only built up from the Question Shooter. It will always have the "Steal" ability, much like the Bandit Brassard or the Stinger Wrench. Like the Question Shooter, this weapon is a beam gun, which is stronger than normal pistols or machine guns. It is also the penultimate weapon of the "beam path". You can find the Steal Gun in dungeons' chests, you can't buy it in any shop, but you can invent it.
